FIRE SAFETY ADVISE AND GUIDANCE
The Law, The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, requires the responsible person for the premises must ensure that everyone is safe from fire.
It is mandatory for the responsible person to undertake a risk assessment which should identify any requirement for a Fire Alarm system and determine the category necessary.
If the risk assessor determines that a Fire Alarm system is required the category should be stated.
Once this has been established a competent person/contractor is required to:

CAD
Our In-House CAD Department are able to offer drawing services for all designs as well as produce record drawings for existing systems to assist with the facilities management of the equipment and compliment the system log books.

MAINTENANCE AND TESTING
It is a requirement that Fire Alarm and Emergency Lighting Systems are maintained and tested.
To comply with this requirement guidance is given in BS5839 Part 1 which states that the Fire Alarm Systems should be serviced at least twice a year.
BS5266 part 1 recommends that the Emergency Lighting Systems should be inspected monthly and annually.
